Summary
Gallop polls taken in 2009 found 67% of the employees surveyed were disengaged, and also learned poor engagement was based on broken organization trust, costing U.S. businesses approximately $350 billion a year. A recent ICP polls found the most popular leadership qualities are not the most popular. The organizations who are thriving in today’s complex turbulent global knowledge economy effectively engage employees, stockholders, vendors, and communities through an interactive system of leaders with strategic intelligence (personality intelligence, leadership philosophy, motivation, partnering, foresight, visioning and systems thinking). Participants will learn how interactive systems of leaders with strategic intelligence are created by the most successful organizations.
Guests may attend one HVBF Roundtable before joining the HVBF.

HVBF Member Creates Music For A Cause Greg Pierce, president of SPARKS! Web|Media|Marketing, and an HVBF Board Member, has recently released a new music CD to support The National Aquarium in Baltimore.
“SEA NOTES" is a collection of Pierce’s instrumental music that was inspired by some of the most majestic waters on earth. A mix of pop, new age, and acoustic music, the CD includes his soundtrack for "Jellies Invasion: Oceans Out of Balance" currently on exhibit at The National Aquarium. In addition to the CD, a beautiful 13" x 19" full-color print featuring the cover art of the CD by renowned local photographer David Simpson is also available.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this CD and print will be donated to The National Aquarium to provide free admission tickets to wounded military and ill children. A great gift idea – and a worthy cause as well – the CDs are $18 and prints are $25 and can be found at Greetings & Readings and online at www.seanotesmusic.com.

Summary
The Department of Labor has published new fee-disclosure regulations to encourage retirement plan sponsors and participants to become more discriminating consumers. But over the short term, these regulations are as likely to cause confusion as they are to shed more light. This concise presentation will enable you to make informed, intelligent decisions with regard to these new government requirements.
